Marissa Star

Marissa is a daughter of the King learning with every new day to rock her Princess tiara. She is married to the man she spent many nights praying for and with him has four little princes. She loves to write (preferably with some fabulous chocolate near by) about her many adventures in the land of Motherhood while holding hands with Jesus. She has a passion for women to walk in grace and greatness through the revelation of God’s love and a good laugh.

Marissa’s Favs:

BooksThe Power of Brokenness by Don Nori (out of print but available on Amazon.com) … this book was a catalyst to some great revelations. This book rocked my world and continues to do so! You Matter More than you think by Leslie Parrot … in this book Leslie was able to articulate in words something that had been stirring and developing in my heart that I didn’t have words for and that is … how personally powerful it is when we are able to come to the place that we are grateful for ALL that we have been through both the ugly and the beautiful.

Worship CDs – Misty Edwards (ALL albums) … Her raw leading style prays my heart and brings me right before His throne. Kim Walker (How He Love Us – song) … because …  “He is jealous for me, loves like a hurricane, I am a tree, bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy, when all of a sudden, I am unaware of these, afflictions eclipsed by glory, and I realize just how beautiful you are and, how great your affections are for me … Oh how He loves us!”

Tv shows – So You Think You Can Dance! … um because I THINK I can dance (smiles). What happens in my kitchen … (after the show is over and I put my socks on and reenact the dances on my tile floor) stays in my kitchen. The Biggest Loser … the stories of some of these contestants are inspiring and I totally cry half the show.
